  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a former international football player, Segun George Hunkarin, and his associate, Ntoruka Chinedu, for attempting to smuggle cocaine into Nigeria through Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.   Tragedy struck in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Saturday, June 21, as   Justice E.G. Umokoro , who presides over   High Court 7 , was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen. According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred around  7:00 PM  near a well-known eatery in the  Ekeki area , along  Chief Melford Okilo Expressway . The masked assailants, dressed in black uniforms,  opened fire but missed , before blocking the judge’s path with an  unmarked white Hilux van  and forcing him into the vehicle. Despite the violent confrontation, the gunmen left behind the judge’s  black Toyota Prado SUV .
