Gabon 🇬🇦 to Halt US & Canada Scholarships by 2026 over High Costs and Brain Drain




Gabon 🇬🇦 is suspending scholarships to the United States and Canada starting in 2026. The reasons: 


1- High cost of education 

2- Scholarship students are unable to return to their home countries after completing their studies.This is a useless investment, according to President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.

The longest-serving man, Sammie Robinson, Jr., was in prison for over 40 years.

  He came to Angola at 17 when "discipline was enforced by hickory stick, ax handle, and leather strap." Robinson's original sentence for r-p€ was VACATED, but he ended up with a life sentence for killing a prisoner who assaulted him. Robinson defended himself from sexual assault and other violence. He then went on to commit other violent acts, attacking a guard and stabbing another man, all of which were inevitable to him. "Robinson had no regrets. Said if he had done anything different, he would probably be dead. Adaptability is key to survival. He adapted to the jungle to which he was exiled, became part of it.
