 June 1, 2025 marks a historic milestone in global media—45 years since the launch of CNN (Cable News Network), the world’s first 24-hour television news channel. Founded by visionary media mogul Ted Turner on June 1, 1980, CNN revolutionized how people in the United States and across the globe consume news, introducing the concept of round-the-clock, real-time reporting.
