Tinubu Sends N1,480,000,000,000 2025 Rivers State Budget To NASS For Approval 😲😲



 Today, Thursday, May 22, 2025, President Bola Tinubu submitted a N1.481 trillion budget proposal for Rivers State to the National Assembly for approval. This action follows the Supreme Court's nullification of the state's earlier 2025 budget and the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State in March 2025, which led to the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, and the state House of Assembly. In the absence of a functioning state legislature, the National Assembly has assumed legislative responsibilities for the state.

The proposed budget allocates funds to key sectors as follows:


👉Infrastructure: N324 billion

👉Health: N166 billion

👉Education: N75.6 billion


Agriculture: N31.4 billion

President Tinubu has urged the National Assembly to expedite the consideration and passage of the appropriation bill to ensure the continuity of governance and development in Rivers State during the emergency period.
